At Experience The Hat Project, we are committed to your satisfaction. If you need to return or exchange an item, please review our policy below to understand our guidelines and procedures.

Custom Hats

  • Final Sale: All custom hats are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. Each custom hat is uniquely made to your specifications, making it non-returnable.

Non-Custom Hats

Return and Exchange Eligibility

  • Return Window: Non-customized hats can be returned or exchanged within 7 days of delivery.
  • Condition: The hat must be in new, resellable condition. This means no marks, makeup, or signs of wear. The hat must be in its original packaging.

Return Process

  1. Request a Return: Email us at experiencethehatproject@gmail.com to request a return shipping label. Include your order number in the subject line.
  2. Approval and Shipping Label: We will respond within 2-3 business days with approval and a return shipping label.
  3. Prepare Your Return: Ensure the hat is in new, resellable condition, with no marks or damage, and packed in its original packaging.
  4. Ship the Item: Attach the provided shipping label to your package and send it back to us.

Refunds and Store Credit

  • Refund Method: Returns for non-custom hats will be processed as store credit only.
  • Store Credit Issuance: Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will issue store credit within 5-7 business days.

Shipping Fees

  • Return Shipping Costs: The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., wrong item sent).
  • Shipping Charges: Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately at experiencethehatproject@gmail.com. Include your order number and photos of the damaged or defective item. We will arrange for a replacement or refund as soon as possible.
